We are Sukena, a Basque pop music band from Oñati. Sukena consists of 6 members: Naia Herraez (vocals and guitar), Eider Herraez (vocals, guitar, and accordion), Iratxe Urzelai (bass), Xabier Albistegi (drums), Xanti Egaña (guitar), and Asier Igartua (guitar). We released our first album, titled "Guztia Gordetzea Ezinezkoa Da," in October 2023.
In 2020, sisters Naia Herraez and Eider Herraez started uploading covers to social media, mixing various songs. Gradually, the Sukena project began to gain momentum, and we started offering acoustic concerts. After having different members, Sukena took its current form when 6 friends from the town came together and, with great enthusiasm and motivation, began preparing our first album. In 2023, we released our first album, which combines pop-rock tunes, on October 23.
Released on October 23, 2023, this collection includes pop-rock tunes. In this album, the voices of the two singers are the protagonists. It consists of 7 songs: some are very calm and sensitive, while others are happier due to faster melodies and instrumentals.
